Are my local files public?

I'm a singer/songwriter that has released a couple of my own songs onto Spotify but I notice when I search for myself on Spotify, not only does it list my released songs (which should be public) but it also lists my entire Local Files library... can everyone hear these songs, too??

Hi AriannaS - Nope :).  Your local files are imported into your Spotify desktop so that all your music is one convenient place. 

The only tracks others can see are the released songs.

Hi! When I search for my name from another account on my laptop, my local files pop up anyway? Does that mean everyone can listen to my private local files? And I also pushed the button 'don't show local files from iTunes and My Music'. I really don't understand it...

If I put my local files music in my public playlists, can they be seen by others? It's be really nice if that happens.
