BUG: Did you know that you can't follow users with custom usernames?

Hello Spotify Community!

 

While exploring the Spotify platform, I realized that you can't unfollow users with custom usernames. Feel free to check out these users with custom usernames - you can't unfollow them!

 

When trying to unfollow them via the Spotify API - we receive the following error:

    "error" : {
    "status" : 500,
    "message" : "Server error."
}

This is especially odd (and slightly annoying!), and I hope that Spotify will patch this up soon 🙂

Thanks for the post and for flagging this issue with us.

 

Looks like all of these profiles have some special characters in their usernames, which are most likely causing the issue. I've passed this on to the right tech folks at Spotify 🙂 

 

I'll post here as soon as I have more info on the matter.
