Building Spotify followers/listeners & pre-release tracks

I recently uploaded analbum through Distrokid and set a pre release date in the hope of being able to submit a track for Spotify playlists but I never had the option to do that, I just recieved an email saying my album was live on Spotify, can anyone clarify on how to do that for future reference. Also, I'm finding it pretty hard to build a decnt Spotify following on my 2 artist accounts. I have had great reviews and featured on a Bandcamp "best of" list but yeah, I'm finding Spotify a harder nut to crack. Any help and tips are very welcome, thanks.

About your concern, I would recommend you to seek assistance with DistroKid. The first help should come from them. Send multiple messages to them everyday. DistroKid [often] ignore messages from their artists except the persistent ones.
