my spotify isn't connecting to my discord??

when i try to connect my spotify to my discord, it doesn't work, and it shows an error saying 'failed to connect your spotify account to your discord'

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Could you try logging out from Spotify on the account page? Then, try deleting your cache & cookies from your web browser. You should be able to do this in your browser settings.

Once it's done, log back in to the Spotify account page again and follow the steps on this page to connect to Discord.

You can also give it a shot using an incognito window or a different browser, if the above steps doesn't do the trick.

Hey @Steven53,

Thanks for reaching out. We've merged your post with a similar thread on the same topic.

As a next step, try disabling your VPN (if you're using one), log into your Discord account, sign out of all devices from your account settings (Settings - Devices) and try again.

Thanks for your reply!

It's worth checking Managed Apps under Security and Privacy on your account page to see if you have a Discord account already connected to your Spotify one. Can you also try using mobile data (if available) instead of WiFi to see if that helps?

If the issue persists, can you also try linking the accounts from a desktop device, if possible?

We can see that everything from Spotify's end looks as it should from your screenshot. In this case we'd recommend reaching out to Discord support who might be able to help you further.

hey im also struggling with this and essentially, i wanted to reset my discord account so i created a new one. my spotify was linked to my old one so i unlinked it and now it wont link to my new one?? im on iphone so i cannot simple delete cache, any solutions because i dont know if discord has support for this kind of stuff either. thanks anyway

Hello! Since I've been using Discord, connecting my Spotify account has been impossible. I think I've tried every possible solution until now and nothing works... Restarting the apps, reinstalling them, clearing my browser's cache, trying on my phone, my computer, the web browser, and from the desktop apps, nothing works.

Every time I try to connect them, it says "failed to connect", I have to add my Spotify account seems to have granted access to Discord but I can't still display what I'm listening to on Discord, and it is so weird because I tried with a friend's Spotify account (same premium plan as mine and same country) and it was connected perfectly, I have also tried connecting my TikTok and Steam account and there was no problem with them. I've been checking all the responses to the many threads related to this topic and still nothing works so I hope I can get help here.

I tried to reconnect my spotify Account with my discord Account, but this Error appeared. I already tried alot of things i found and the discord support aswell wasnt succesfull. But as i created a new spoti Account, it was able to connect to my discord... discord has no blacklist or something. So it might be a problem with my spotify acc... 

Does anyone have an idea?
