Can't merge Facebook and Spotify accounts

I want to merge my Spotify account with Facebook but I keep having trouble. I've tried it from the iPhone app, from the Mac app, and from the Spotify website, and I keep getting a message saying an error occured, that "we couldn't connect your Spotify account with Facebook, please try again." But no matter how many times I try again I still get the same message. Help?

Hey Glenn, welcome to the Community.

It looks like you had a duplicate account created by accident during the Facebook integration, which might be why you couldn't connect. I've deleted that account now - so please feel free to try again.

Spotify logged me out of my Spotify (Facebook) and the problem is that it's a premium account and I don't want to pay again. Every time I try and try to login it says "You can use Spotify abroad for 14 days". I tried deleting Facebook and Spotify and logining again but it still doesn't work. Please help because I got Spotify Premium so I can listen to it while traveling and I travel a lot. I'm traveling tomorrow to California and I need to have Spotify Premuim without paying again.

Please help!

Hey Glenn, welcome to the Community.

It looks like you had a duplicate account created by accident during the Facebook integration, which might be why you couldn't connect. I've deleted that account now - so please feel free to try again.

acctually i have a similar problem but not exactly i am trying to add last .fm to my spotify account but when i go to last.fm login through spotify it says my account name and password don't match a little help plz

 

minesucka, the Last.Fm integration usually works ok for most people. I'd suggest making sure you're typing your username/password correctly.

And is this in your Preferences, or the Last.Fm app? In the Preferences it can be a little confusing because Spotify makes your password appear longer than it actually is - but it's right.

I have the same problem.

 

Went to log in as usual and all my playlists had gone (it was like I was a new user)

 

Logged in via my Spotify user name (and all my playlists came back)

 

But if I log in via Facebook like i used to (it comes up that I am on a 48hr trial)

 

So not sure what is going on? I am a premium member "Glenn2810" and it used to work fine but what is going on?!

I have done that, managed to get my playlists back.

 

But it still wont let me merge my Facebook with it. 

 

I have logged into Spotify using Facebook and now it seems I am on a 48hr trial?

 

But I could log in using the same Facebook details before hand and it had been linked with my Glenn2810 account no problem?!

 

 

When you sign into the glenn2810 account in the desktop client and try to connect to Facebook in your Preferences what happens?

Comes up with an error saying its not possible to connect to this facebook account 

That's strange - I also couldn't disconnect it on my end. So I've just deleted the duplicate account now to keep things simple.

I'm having the same issue as well.  Tried following the instructions to delete the second account, but can't see the second account.

Same problem. They were merged before and I don't know what happened to cause a schism. I even rest the password and even that seems to have gone into a duplicate account. I'm still in the trial subscription on the spotify credentials and the facebook one doesn't have it. This happened either yesterday or the day before.

Same problem here.
