Cancelling Premium

Cancelling Premium

Hi everyone! I took advantage of Spotify's trial for Premium (3 months for .99) and I was very happy, but sadly $10 a month to continue is a little much for me. I cancelled my suscription today (Sept 29) to avoid that $10 charge for an additional month. The email I got from Spotify afterwards said my subscription will end tomorrow though, does this mean I will be charged?

Hey @genevievejohner,

To avoid charges, delete your payment info by doing the following:

1. Go to your Subscription page in your Account Settings.

2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before clicking UPDATE DETAILS.

Without any payment details, no new charges can be made, but if you're an iPhone user, you do need to check your iTunes subscriptions Auto Renewal and turn it off for Spotify.

Here are Apple's instructions on how to do it:

Please help me to unsubscribe successful to spotify. As I checked my account setting, I am no longer subscribe to premium service but the problem is that I still receive subscription charge on my credit card for almost 3 months. thank you.,

Hey @miemeya17,

You're probably getting charged for a different account from the one you've unsubscribed.

Do you get email receipts for your subscription purchases? Search for one of them in your email account. In it, the Spotify username you're paying for is shown:

Username/ID: xxxxxxx

You can login to the website with that username to check the status of your subscription, and your receipts.

In there you can cancel if you want to, and delete your payment info.
