Cannot change my country!

Hello Community!
Three years ago my family and I went to Mexico to live there (I'm from Germany) and in this time I created a spotify premium account in Mexico. Now, since a month, I live in Germany again and want to change my country to Germany.
I bought a Paysafe Card here and did exactly what Spotify said about changing the payment option first. Now I basically got my month of subscription (cause the date extended a month) but it still says "MX" on my account settings. The strange thing is, if I want to change my account settings.. it says Germany (Deutschland). I really do not understand the struggle.. Could it be that the country will change after the "mexican subscription" (I mean after the premium time that I bought with Mexican spotify cards)?

Just to be clear that you have followed these steps. Please try again.

 

Note: You need a payment method with a billing address in the country.

 

  1. Go to your Account page here.
  2. Select Subscription in the left panel.
  3. Click UPDATE DETAILS or GET PREMIUM
  4. Click "Want to use another payment option?" below the card details form or on the 3 dots up in the right corner.

Click Change Country and select the country you wish to move the account to.

 

Select a payment method with a billing address in the country.

 

Confirm the change by clicking CHANGE PAYMENT DETAILS.

 

Problem solved? Please "Accept as solution"

 

 

The thing is, i exactly did this before and it still says "MX". Maybe I should wait until my mexican subscription time is over..

Does your payment method indicating to Mexico or is it your country settings?

My old payment option was buying those spotify cards in Mexico. My subscription with these cards will be over on 21. of july. Now I bought a german paysafe card and my subscription got extended by a 1 month. I think that my country will change on the exact day 21. of july... I THINK. or i hope 😞

That's correct. The problem can also depend on if you have turned off the location area for Spotify on your phone. If the location is actived on your phone you don't need to worry.
