Cannot follow Facebook friends anymore

For a few weeks now I have this message "There are no more friends to show at this time" when I go to 'Follow' - 'Find friends'. It appeared all of a sudden, without me having done anything special in the days before that, except listening to music. I don't have the bar on the right side of my desktop client telling me what my friends are listening to. I can only find my Facebook friends when I go searching for their name, and then find them in the 'profiles' section. The desktop client or the browser version sees that I am following this profile, because I can 'unfollow', but that is how far my following friends goes: I can unfollow them. 😞

Further: I can't send messages to the ones I'm following (except for the few that already had messages in my inbox).

This is what I have been doing: searching the forum for solutions (didn't find any good solutions). In the preferences I tried every combination of tickboxes anything to do with Facebook. I signed in with my Facebook account (normally I used the Spotify password and username), I tried 'Manuall activate Facebook' on my account overview on spotify.com (it said that I already had imported my friends). It doesn't matter if I'm using the desktop client or use the browser version of Spotify. I have this on all my computers. Facebook is not blocked or something on my home-network. My activities do not appear in my Facebook log, even though I have now the setting that all my activities are reported to Facebook.

Anyone knows what to do to fix the connection again?

Spotify have confirmed that the activity feed has been removed for some users (which is part of what I think you are seeing). Discussion is over on this topic:

Unfortunately, the Facebook issue does appear to be a Facebook issue. I raised it earlier in the week but it appears to be due to this change over on Facebook:

Spotify should be a stand alone service all times. Wich it own friends list. F$#k FB!
