Cannot login to Spotify with Onkyo TX-NR579 Receiver any more

Hi!

I'm not able to login to Spotify with Onkyo TX-NR579 any more. I have active Spotify Premium subscription and all other network features such as internet radio work fine. So the problem is not in the connection. 

You have removed support for certain Onkyo speakers, but now Im talking about receiver. Has the support ended also for this, even there are no notifications about this. This will end my Spotify family premium subscription, if no solution is found.

As of July 20th, 2017 Spotify has ceased function on certain 2011 model year Onkyo network receivers, components and mini-systems. Spotify has notified registered users of this change.

Whats the explanation for doing that? Owners of such models too poor customers for Spotify? Shame-shame-shame, frankly speaking I'm not going to replace my AV reciever which costs as 5 annual premium subscriptions, cheaper to replace music provider.

I don't see where I received notification that support for my receiver has been dropped. So to add insult to injury, I've spent hours trying to make this work.  This is sad. The receiver is perfectly fine and should not have to be replced. the value of spotify for me has just decreased tremendously, and I may have to cancel and find a more compatible and reliable service.

Yep, I'm thinking Harman Kardon 151S currently. Pretty fed up with lousy Wi-Fi and this.
