Cannot switch to student

I have a prime account and am trying to switch to student. I am following the steps in the help section but it does not take me to the page to enter the college info. It keeps taking me back to my account info page.

I think you have to cancel your current subscription before you sign up for the student discount subscription.

You can do that here:

(don't worry, if you cancel your subscription you still get to keep the remaining time period)
