Change of email account

Hi all,

So yesterday is switched from e-mail account on facebook since i was getting overrun with some anoying spam mails. So after the change i checked on spotify to see if my email is changed on there to but my old e-mail is still showing up.

Anyone any ideas how to fix this?

Also tried to contact support and look into multiple FAQ but they all turn up with a 404

If you’d like to disconnect your Spotify account from Facebook, just follow these steps: 

1. Open the Spotify desktop app.
2. In the top-right corner, click  > Settings.
3. Under Social, click DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK.

It’s not possible to complete these steps on mobile.

No luck in trying it this way this is probably because i used my facebook to connect and login to spotify and because of that it seems that i can't resolve my problem with your suggestion.

I think it's an issue that needs to be resolved by the spotify tech team but there is no possible way at the moment of reaching them since all the pages turn up with a 404

I am sorry that didn't work. 

If you created your Spotify account on Facebook, the best possible way to fix this is by creating a new Spotify account with an email address. Then Spotify will be able to merge the accounts so that you have your setting from the previous account.

To contact Spotify about merging your accounts, send a message to this email address, support@spotify.com. You should receive an automated response, you will also need to reply to that message. They should be able to get back to you within 48 hours.  

Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, you can tweet @SpotifyCares.

They'll help you merge both accounts. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.
