Changing subscription

Hey. I'm currently on a Premium promotion ($0.99 for 3 months) which is about to end. I'd like to continue with Spotify Premium, but with the US student discount, instead of full price. The Help on the Spotify website suggests I should cancel my current subscription, and then sign up for the Student Premium subscription. Will doing this process keep all my music and playlists the same? Or will I then have a new different account? Thanks in advance!

Hello:

From what I understand users who have access to the Student Discount, the U.S., U.K, and German students from accepted College and University schools, they can apply the student discount to their Spotify Premium accounts, and it should apply to your account on the next billing cycle.

"I have a paid Spotify subscription. How do I change to the U.S. Student Discount?

The discounted rate will kick in at your next subscription renewal, after signing up for the student discount."

The information posted above is from the U.S. student discount page FAQ, but should still be applicable to U.K. and Germany students as well.
