Charged in double?

Hi,

I got a 6-month Spotify premium gift cards, which I throught I was going to redeem at the subscription page while adding my payment information. I ended subscribing to Premium through the normal purchase channel, then entered the my redeem code, which reconfirmed my registration to Premium.

Will I be charged twice? Will Spotify credit the initial charge to apply the gift card?

Do I have to cancel the first subscription?

Hope you're doing great!

If you subscribed to Premium using your payment details first and later on you redeemed the gift card code too then there's no reason to be charged twice.

After you're first period of the subscription ends the gift cards period will automatically added to the whole period of your subscription and you can check that under your Subscription Satus in your Spotify account page.
