Company using Spotify for office

Hi.

I'm helping someone setting up an office and they would like to use Spotify to have some music in the office.

Which kind of account should they use?

@ceminstitute the issue is that the stream is being used (passively) by the personnel of the office and visitors

however, you can purchase spotify business here:

@ceminstitute Hey there,

The terms of use stipulate that spotify gives "limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to access the Content for personal, non-commercial, entertainment purposes". This means that public streaming is a breach of that.

If you believe that doing that would be breaching spotify's terms, I'd suggest contacting the support team to clarify that: https://support.spotify.com/au/contact-spotify-support/

What the company want to do is to play some music among the employees it is not a public place, but inside an office.

That may of course be considered public, but it isn't much different from each employee using their personal account on their phones with a small speaker or headset.

Don't spotify have a solution for a company to do this rather then letting each employee take care of their own music?
