Computer and phone on Spotify for family

I just upgraded from premium to family, and I'm not able to listen to different songs at the same time on my home computer and my iPhone. Whenever I try to play a song on my phone, it tells me that my computer is playing something (and it is- my kids are on it playing songs) and I have to choose between phone or computer.How can I play different songs on the two devices. (That's why I signed up for family.)

Hey @Dleavins,

 

All members of a Premium for Family plan need to have their own account. If other members don't have an account yet, they can sign up here: https://spotify.com/signup

 

To invite someone to join one of the allotted subaccounts in your plan:

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Under 'Manage your family accounts', click GO.
  3. Click on an available Empty Slot.
  4. Click INVITE MEMBER BY LINK or enter the e-mail of the person you want to invite.
  5. Click SEND INVITE.

Once all members have their own account, members should be able to listen to music at the same time.

Why do you want to listen to 2 songs at the same time? If another family member is listening to music on the computer, they can login with their own account :).

Ok. Thanks. I guess my further question is: if my phone and computer have been using the same account in the past, how do I distinguish them into different accounts?

Why do you want to listen to 2 songs at the same time? If another family member is listening to music on the computer, they can login with their own account :).

The questin is HOW TO use family premium on BOTH phones AND computers?
