Créer un compte pour un enfant de 13 ans : Spotify répond que n'a pas l'âge

Bonjour,

Mon enfant a 13 ans révolu (naissance novembre 2010) mais impossible de lui créer un compte spotify : quand j'entre sa date de naissance en novembre 2010, le formulaire répond : "vous êtes trop jeune pour spotify".

Je souhaite lui ouvrir ce compte pour l'inclure ensuite dans un compte famille (évoluer du "premium" au "famille").

Merci de votre aide et surtout pour comprendre ce blocage sur l'âge.

A savoir que le compte "kids" ne nous convient pas car trop restrictif en terme d'artistes et pas du tout ouvert sur le monde.

We understand your request, but what you're asking for is not technically possible with the present T&Cs.
A workaround I would suggest instead would be to use a Kids account, making use of its 'Shared Playlists' functionality.

With all respect, "not technically possible" is such a poor answer when @ABo_19270 explicitly asked to "understand the blocking point". It does look like we are facing some kind of contradiction here between legal terms and user experience.

Spotify's legal conditions in France (and other secondary sources on the net) suggest that teenagers between 13 and 16 should be allowed to create a normal Spotify account if they get their parent's approval.

I did try to create such an account, and I get the same message saying the child (15 years old) is too young (!?)... instead of continuing with parental approval procedure as expected.

Please bring a precise explanation or solve the problem?

Pushing these teenagers on Spotify Kid makes no sense to me.

Hey @Suishino,

We're always updating our systems to follow​ local legal requirements and, unfortunately, we can't accept anyone under 15 in France at the moment.
In case your child has just reached 15 years of age, try waiting out a day or two before attempting to create the account again 🙂
