Desktop client does not accept password

The Spotify desktop app just does not accept my password. I can log on to both my online account at spotify.com and the browser player at play.spotify.com, but the desktop app doesn't work even with the same password.

I've changed my password twice now to see if that would help, and each time the same thing happens.

This is very frustrating. Why you would check passwords differently on one portal vs another is beyond me. Of course, there is no company tech support either, so we have to ask on a forum and rely on unpaid fans to help us from outside the company. Works great for shareholders, not so much for your customers.

Are you seeing any error messages when trying to log into the client?

The username or password is incorrect. (Error code: 3)

Are you trying to log in using email address and password?

I am having the same issue right now, I can log onto the browser version, but I am unable to log on into my phone and on the desktop application. This is very frustrating seeing as I pay for the convenience and now that is lost. Please have a better customer service program. Some way I can talk to someone and get a quick fix. ( It's difficult to make spotify my go to music system if this kind of thing happens ) ( Too unreliable )
