Device Password Setting

I recently bought a AmazonFire Stick and have downloaded the Spotify application on there. Instead of streaming from a device like my phone or laptop all of the time, I want to be able to access my full account on the TV. I have been trying to go through the steps of setting a device password (following the link in the e-mail from Spotify to set a password), however no matter what I try as a password my Spotify account comes back with "There was a problem setting your password". There is no further information given, I have tried several different types of password styles with the same message returning. Is this an internal issue with Spotify's account page or is there some obvious password stipulation I am missing here?

Have you created your Spotify account through Facebook? If so, please try setting an app password here.

My account was made through Facebook, so I've figured out how to set an app password on Facebook's setting page. Thank you for the link, however the username or password is coming up as incorrect on my FireStick still. I'm assuming the password is correct though from your previous link it's a simple copy. So do I use my facebook e-mail address/username or the device username I found on my Spotify account page? Neither one has worked for me thus far.
