My Question or Issue

Up until yesterday my display name was showing my Facebook name (in English), but when I opened my app today both on my phone and laptop it was showing my Chinese name. I have had my spotify account for over 5 years and I haven't made any recent changes to my account information and it always showed my English name. I have tried linking and relinking my Facebook and even deleted my nickname off of Facebook containing my Chinese name. But it still doesn't show my name. When I set up my account I remember listing my name as my display name even before linking it with Facebook. I would really like to get it back so I can have friends find me on Spotify. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks for posting !

At first, please make sure to follow the steps provided here just in case your account had been taken over.

In addition, visit your account overview at Spotify.com and under privacy settings make sure to uncheck then check again the "Process My Facebook Data" option.

This should "shake things" up a bit.
