I've had a premium spotify account for several years now and I've never had anything annoying happening before.
Could anyone, please without asking me what I've tried so far, tell me how I can access spotify. This problem ("error 101") has appearently come out of nowhere. It worked on my home computer yesterday, at work and on my phone today, but not at home today.
Is there a way to fix this which is easier for me than to switch my account to Wimp.no?
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Error 101 is normally a connection error caused by a firewall or other software blocking Spotify's connections. I would suggest you have a read at this FAQ and double check that Spotify is listed as an exception in any security software you have.

I have the same issue with my home laptop. Spotify worked fine at work, but a couple of days ago I got the 101 error code. I have turned off firewall settings and tried to log in and it still comes up with the same code, so it's not a firewall block.
Anyone else having similar issues.
Very strange.
Does this occur when using WiFi and wired connections?
You might also want to check the firewall settings on your internet router.

Same thing here man, I did everything possible and it still pops up with the error 101.
I am having exactly the same problem... I've had spotify for a year but in the past couple of days it keeps coming up with error 101. I have re-installed spotify 4 times, made exceptions for it on my norton firewall, deleted another surplus firewall software but nothing has changed. I'm on the spotify premium trial but I've hardly been on it. So if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Is it possible to try on a different WiFi network @myspotifynameis just to rule out this being your router not playing ball?
