The web player works fine- it's still connected to my facebook and all my playlists are still there, but when I try to log into the windows (I'm using windows 😎 program itself, I click the "log in with facebook" button, my browser opens with a link, but automatically closes, and I still can't log into spotify
I've tried to see this through on the facebook end, but it says that it's connected to Spotify. Pleae help, I need my music!

I have Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop. This worked for me. 🙂
If you have norton installed go to:
1. settings
2. firewall
3. program rules
4. scroll down to spotify
5. change auto to allow for spotify installer and spotify program
6. Click apply
Give it a go!
Thank You. 😄 But I dont understand why I was able to install Spotify the Very first time and then it didnt work. I never changed those settings in Norton? Strange. 😉
i hae the exact same problem now. firewall is as it should- allowng spotify but i get the text - cannot download, not connected to internet (it is) and then it says error 52

@Layries wrote:I'm currently using Windows 7 and tried the Installer that you reccomended and it says spotify is installing, but promptly just quits after less than 5 seconds. I've tried about 5 different suggestions now and spotify just refuses to download, telling me that it is not hooked up to the interenet, even though it obviously is. What do I do?
