Facebook message when I send tracks to friends?

Why does Facebook send a message to friends when I share tracks? It's annoying and kind of redundant. Anyway to shut that off w/out logging out of FB?

I've been searching for hours now to stop spotify from sending me a facebook-message, when a friend shares a song with me. With my FB-Tab, my Smartphone and Spotify itself sending me a message... that's too much. 😞

I've been delaying facebook integration with spotify for a long time because of hypothetical spam messages. Last week I finally allowed facebook and unfortunately spam it is 😞

YES you can prevent spotify sharing the music you listen to your timeline and some internal spotify messages.

NO you can NOT prevent facebook sending emails to you when your friend sends a song to your inbox (unless you prevent all messages - not a solution) . Not even removing spotify application helps to this problem. I'd like to know if there's a solution for this, please?

yeah, this is my biggest issue with spotify so far. I am getting seriously annoyed getting messages from people that are not my friends and having those fill up my inbox. there's gotta be a means of stopping this.

Please make this an option ASAP. It's redundant and annoying, and frankly seems like a violation of privacy for people that I share music with that I'm not friends with on Facebook.

this seems like it should be an easy fix. what is wrong with spotify support? you've had like a month to work on this issue.

How can you possibly have allowed such a idiotic redundancy into your system?  I'm seriously over this and am considering cancelling my Spotify membership.  You have to think of a better way to stop this.... pure laziness if its takern you this long to issue a simple check box fix. Get your act together before I switch to Rdio.....

not much more to say, i agree with everyone posting here before. please remove facebook messages and keep it spotify-mailbox only (or at least optionable) and do it fast. it's the biggest downside of spotify-social

You are ruining your service..for real. Everyone I know hates this. I was a US beta and got a ton of people on this site and now I just hear complaints about this all the time. Seriously fix it asap..this sucks.

I am completely annoyed with spotify. As a premium member I am considering leaving the sevice since I can not change my user name, nor completely disconect from FB (all the people in my spotify account i don`t want), all the automatic messages on FB and just absolutely nooooooooo options on the profile sector......

I am really fed up pls stop this asap!
