I'm sure that this answer is probably a few below mine but I just don't feel like looking because I think it's ridiculous that I have to do this to begin with. HOW DO I USE SPOTIFY PREMIUM WITHOUT FACEBOOK?! Look, times change. Facebook is annoying as hell and I don't feel comfortable using it with all the privacy terms we all have to agree to now. No one uses it anymore and I just do not want a profile of me publicly on facebook. I pay for SPOTIFY. $10 a month. Not Facebook. How can I use spotify premium without spending any more money than I already do without Facebook?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

If you have a Spotify account which you created using Facebook, then the only way to migrate away from Facebook is to make a new account since there is no way to seperate your Spotify account from your Facebook details. 

This is such a requested change, I have actually written a full tutorial on how to do it here.

So are you saying i could have signed up to premium without having to go through FB? Because i tried really hard to find that option 9 months ago when i signed up.

I totally agree with the previous poster, it iscompletely nuts that for a subscription service we have to be tied to facebook.

How can I now change my account to being untied and not lose all my play lists?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

There was a period when new account creation using Facebook was the only method to sign up for Spotify, so I am guessing it was during that period that you registered. 

As I said above, there is no direct way to disconnect your account from Facebook if it was created that way, you will need to make a new account. See the tutorial I linked to above too!
