French in Switzerland - Français en Suisse

(Français en dessous) My premium subscription is in Switzerland, and I cannot change it because I have a family account in Switzerland. My problem is that most of the playlists are in German, the major language spoken in Switzerland. I speak French and I hate having songs in German in all of my playlists. Dear Spotify, French is the second official language of Switzerland (you know, Geneva and all that) and my account is in French. I wish I could get more specific results according to that. I suggest replacing German playlists with French ones (from France for example). Thank you for your help!

Mon compte Premium est en Français, et je ne peux pas changer cela car mon compte Family m'y oblige. Mon problème est le suivant: la plupart des playlists proposées sont en Allemand (la langue la plus commune en Suisse). Je parle Français et je déteste avoir des chansons en Allemand dans mes playlists automatiques. Chers Spotify, le Français est la seconde langue la plus parlée en Suisse et mon compte est en Français. J'aimerais avoir des résultats plus spécifiques à cette situation (qui représente plusieurs millions d'utilisateurs potentiels). Je suggère de remplacer les playlists en allemand par des playlists en français (de France par exemple) pour les comptes suisses configurés en français.

I have the same problem. I don't speak German and I have some difficulties with English (Thanks Google translate).

Why can't we choose the language of yours proposals ? Everything is in German , podcast , audio book and it's very annoying .

I have the same issue.... and this was not an issue with Deezer.

I'm sorry I live in french speaking switzerland and it is a pitty that a major company such Spotify does not consider this as a problem. We should be able to choose the contry we want to be consider from... if I'm expat in Thailand will I have to listen to Thai playlist only ????

I have the same problem. **bleep** frustrating at this point and about to cancel my family subscription. 
Over 2 Million people live in the French part of Switzerland, and all of them have to deal with this narrow-minded approach by Spotify.

Same problem here. How come there's no answer from Spotify about that? It shouldn't be too complicated to offer customers from the French speaking part of Switerland the possibility to listen to podcasts and playlists in French and English instead of German.

Especially if one has a Premium account (which is my case) and is paying for your services AND there have been other complaints, you should definitely do something about it. It is frustrating.

Spotify don't seem to care unfortunately.
I voted with my feet... cancelled all subscriptions, and switched to
Google Play.
I refuse to pay for any service that doesn't respect the mother tongue
of the region that I live in.

I will have to have my dad living in france paying the premium fee to be able to use spotify in french

My understanding is that they mixed the 3 languages in the suggestions. You have for example rap playlists in french, italian pop and a s*** ton of german stuff... 

Spotify is not the only one, I guess we will never be understood but never forget: un pour tous, tous pour un!!!

The audiobooks are only in German.
All of them.
The same for families and kids. Everything is in German.
So it’s not as u say.
