Help, I unlinked Facebook and lost all my Playlists!

Ugh, I can't believe I messed with this. I thought unlinking my Facebook would refresh some of the Facebook Social information (recently friended someone and didn't see his information on Spotify).  Unfortunately I guess I originally created my account with Facebook so when I did this it somehow deleted my information and is recognizing me as a new user.

Is there any way I could recover that information??  I spent a lot of time crafting my lists...and it sucks to lose them.  Plus I was thinking of upgrading in the next couple months.  Not really something I care to do if it's going to be this easy to lose my information...

Please let me know where I can e-mail you my information so I can hopefully get this straightened out.

I'm having the exact same problem—I stupidly unlinked my Facebook account, and now the same login details I used before instead give me an account with none of my old playlists and no option to reconnect facebook.  Can you help me out please?  My username is 1244495489.  Thanks in advance.

Hey - I think I have the same problem.  Was experimenting and thought I was just disconnecting from Facebook temporarily.

This exact thing happened to me.  Now dozens of playlists are gone, as well as my starred music and history.  Please help!  I'm lost without Spotify, and don't want to start from scratch...

I'm logging in with the only username and password that I know of.  When I unlinked by Facebook account, I didn't change any of my login information.  The user icon (in the upper righthand corner) still shows my Facebook profile pic, as it always has.  When I go to preferences now, there is no longer a social media option--that is, the Facebook account section is no longer there.

It worked!  I remembered my previous username, because my browser had saved it.  All of my playlists are back, and I've re-linked it to my Facebook account.  Thanks!

Hey Richard,

I have looked at the solution for this problem, but i can't get it to work.  I accidentally disconnected my original account from facebook, so now there are two account, once with facebook and one called 126304514.  The problem is that I can't log into the 126304514 one, because i can't firgure out what the password is.  My fb password was different when i created the account (which i believe i created through facebook), and i've tried my old password along with my previous one, but neither of them work.  If I could get into the 126304514 account I could fix most of my problems.  I mostly want to get to private playlists, because the rest i can simply copy and paste to the fb account.  Is there anything you can do to help?

Hi Tabitha - This is a bit of a different issue. If you're trying to transfer playlists from a disconnected Facebook account to an active one you'll need to use our contact form. 

One of our agents can help transfer those playlists for you.

Make sure you're logging in with 'lambros22' as the username, rather than anything else. That's definitely on Premium.

But if you still have problems, just get in touch via our contact form and we'll help you out.

Hello there, Yesterday I signed out from spotify and when I tried to re-log in it I could not do it using the spotify credentials. It does not recongnise my password. For this reason I used for the first time the facebook credentials. When it logged me in, ALL OF MY PLAYLISTS WERE GONE and on topo of that the unlimited subscription wasn;'t working anymore and the account had switched to the free version. I would like to revert to my original account, with all the playlist and the unlimited subscription I am still paying for. What should I do? Thank you for your help.

Hello. Yes, I have read and tried. The problem is that I do not remember the pw i used with the spotify credentials (i thought I'd know it, but it just does not let me log in). WHen I try to reset the password it tells me that I am connected through facebook and I should use/change the facebook pw. When I do this, though, it sends me straighjt back to the new account, with no playlists and no unlimited subscription. Is there a way to reset the postify pw? thank you!
