Help with Changing Country Settings [Error 408]

I'm trying to log in to Spotify, but whenever I try to log in, it either crashes immediately, or when I do get in, it boots me right back out saying my country doesn't match the one in my profile.


I'm from canada, but spotify is telling me it's set to austrailia. but whenever I try to change it, the only option I get is austrailia. I don't have any other options to choose from, at all! what am I supposed to do?


I'm on a free account, and I heard you don't get this error on a paid account, but I don't want to be forced to pay for a service just to fix an error like this. It was working fine the first day I had it. Plus, if it's just going to keep crashing 2 seconds after it starts up most of the time, I don't want to put money into something that isn't going to work.


Can anyone help?

That is odd. Did you recently change some kind of equipment? The IP adress must match with the country you're in, so if you made any changes on this, it could be causing the client to think you are somewhere you're not.
