How do i find my username when using Facebook login..

I'm using Spotimote on Android, and i need my USERNAME to log in as Premium user to be able to save to playlists etc.

But i got a facebook spotify account and i CAN'T use that in Spotimote.. How do i find my real username? (Should be alot of numbers or something)

Yes facebook accounts are associated with a number ID, First go to https://www.spotify.com/ sign into your spotify account using your facebook login details, and then go to Overview in the option menu at the top and you should see the numerical Username associated with your facebook created spotify account.

You also need to set a special device password (your Facebook password won't work):

It does not work.. My numerical username isnt on the overview page and i can't set a password on the 2nd page - it says wrong password no matter what.

When you request a device password here, you should receive an email, almost immediately confirming your device username and containing a link to set a password. What part isn't working for you?

If the username shown is not a number, then you have a Spotify account that you did not create via Facebook, so you need to log in using that username and the password you set when you registered.

If you need password reset for that username:
1. Go to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/
2. If you get redirected to your online profile (where you need to current password to make the change), you are still logged into the website. Click on your name at the top and choose Log Out.
3. Return to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/ and you should be able to request a reset by entering your username (not your email address).

There is absolutely nothing showing the username or even saying: "username". As a Spotify Community Troubleshooter you don't really seem to know how the webpage looks like....

The way I've found to identify your Spotify username (string of numbers) when you're using Facebook to sign in.

1. Open the Spotify Desktop app.

2. Log in using your Facebook credentials.

3. Click on your name in the top right of the screen to go to your Profile (should show list of recently played artists/playlists/etc)

4. At the top of the screen on your Profile page, you should see your Name in really big letters. Right under your name is a circle with three dots in it (elipsis).

5. Click the clircle. and "Copy Spotify URI"

6. Paste the Spotify URI somewhere you can read it (notepad, word doc, search bar, whatever)

7. The string of digits is your REAL Spotify Username.

Crazy ridiculous process, but the only way I know how to find it.

This is not true. At all. Did this method used to work, maybe in 2014?
There is NO numberical username shown anywhere on the Overview page.

No email is ever sent. It says it sent it and the email address listed is correct. Spotify never sends the email.
Yes, I know how to check spam/quarantine folders, etc.
Why is this so freaking difficult?

goto set device password it tells you ur username in numbers on that page. i just did it trust me.

I have the same problem. I made my account with Facebook but my account doesn't have a username or any sort of string of numbers in the overview. Others can't find me unless they're friends with my on Facebook. I've searched my name in the search bar of Spotify with other people's accounts and my name or account never shows up.
