How do you remove people from the "What Your Friends Are Listening To" window?

I would like to "hide" some of the heavy users that do not have similar musical taste. This drowns out the people I would actually like to see in this window. I don't have these individuals added as my spotify friends. My guess is that I could un-friend them on facebook, but I have to leave them to be politically correct.

This is my only hangup with the service. Please help!

Yeah - I disconnected from Facebook for this reason. I wish it worked more like this: you sign into facebook, spotify brings up a panel of all your facebook friends who use spotify - you click on the ones you want to follow. The end. No friend requests to accept/reject, no notifications, but please let me pick who i want to follow. I don't want to unfriend my elementary school best friend from facebook, but i don't want to see the 500 songs she listens to every day.

Click on "View" then then uncheck "People List". This will hide whole right hand column.

That doesn't really answer/fix my orig post.

I think the real fix would be to only display people you follow on spotify, not every friend on facebook that has spotify.

The function itself = awesome. Spotify should give the user the possibility to hide certain people. Hide everyone as an answer.. come on!

This isn't resolved. I removed spotify's permissions on facebook, yet i still have a 'people' tab full of facebook users on there.

I don't want friends on Spotify. I just want to listen to music.

Why don't you have an option to remove people from the "People" list? The only thing I can do is add them to my favorites which is not what I want to do! This is not a safe situation.

Yeah how come there isn't a means to remove persons from your people list. This is ridiculously stupid.

This issue is not solved.

We want to remove SOME people from the "What your friends are listening to". Not the whole bar.

Can you implement a filter/block future?   Please..... 😕

A filter with the tabs of

• Facebook Friends
• Following/Friends on Spotify
• Favorites (or keep them separate like they are now)

would probably be most efficient.  That way if there are people who care about what every person on their Facebook is listening to they can keep it there.  If they want to a condensed list they can 'follow' them, or even better yet just click and drag from their Facebook list, and then we'd still have the favorites for a select few we are especially interested in.

I think that would solve the problem.  To take it further users could be allowed to make as many tabs and fully customize them, similar to sorting people into awkward stalking priority lists on Facebook, but I don't know if that's really necessary.

I must agree. I really want this in. I have a friend who only listens to bad club music (and I mean the really bad rehanna remixes and **bleep**ty stuff like that). It's frustrating, cause he listens to so much it blocks all the good music my other friends listen to.

There are many Facebook friends I do not want to see in Spotify. This can't be hard to set up! Or is this just not going to happeng cause of the "need" of Facebook to keep bothering us with stuff we don't need? Please don't let Facebook decide what Spotfire users see..... Be independent!

This is my first post and I am a paying subscriber. I googled this topic because I couldn't see the feature in Spotify.

Nevertheless, please add this feature. Allow us to "follow" certain facebook users or "not follow" them. As a fellow Software Engineer, this should be at the top of the enhancements list. I can't think of many higher enhancements that should be implemented.

Otherwise, I really enjoy Spotify and think you've developed a great product.

Got an ex from 2006, sure she listens to hip hop too, but the worst kind. Simple, someone find a good site to make a petition that doesn't spam, track, etc, and ask for a simple function:

"Hide person from People List"
