How do you update your email if it says it's connected to facebook?

I made my spotify account through facebook a few years ago, but recently I deleted that facebook account and created a new one with a new email. I want to update my email to fit the one I use now, but the setting won't let me. It says I can only change my email through my facebook account which is impossible since I deleted that one. Help please?

To add a email adress to the account you must disconnect from Facebook first.

 Then go to your account settings, and add a email adress.
