To cancel your subscription, you need to sign into this page:

If you don't see a cancel option,
You might have subscribed to premium through the iPhone or iPad app.
To cancel your subscription, you need to cancel it from iTunes. Your subscription is being handled by Apple.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.
Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
To cancel and delete your payment info, do the following:
1. Go to your Subscription and payment overview --> http://spotify.com/account/subscription/
2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.
3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,
Without any payment details, no new charges can be made, but if you're an iphone user, you do need to check your itunes subscriptions for Auto Renewals and turn it off for Spotify.

Depends if you pay through iTunes or directly to Spotify.
Do you get email receipts for your subscription purchases? Search for one of them in all of your email accounts. In it, the Spotify username you're paying for is shown:
Logout of the app, and be sure to use that username to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.
You can login to the website with that username to check the status of your subscription, and your receipts. In there you can cancel if you want to, and delete your payment info.

Problem Solved - Solution
If you clicked on the 'Subscription' Tab on the left of your account & found there's nothing more to click on in order to modify that's because it's a done deal at that point. Which is why you will see on the right side a chance to change your mind & stay with Premium by clicking the Save.
The frustration is not knowing that a simple click on the Subscription tab is all it takes. I was looking to cancel in order to switch to the family plan of another household member. Spotify handled it easily & within 24 hours.
All it took was clicking on the Subscription then logging out. I then received an email for the family invite went through a couple easy steps & that was it - done deal with complete satisfaction!
