How to delete account?

How do I delete this account? I NEVER signed up for this, someone else used my email and created a fake account. I had to go through the recover password just to log on only to find that I can't delete this account.  I DO NOT want an account here and am REALLY getting tired of the multiple emails a day!

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

Thanks for the tip about replying to the automated message! Will try that! Never had such a hard time removing an account from a website, or have I ever seen such a large site who doesn't verify an account via email first! Thanks!

Hi!

I know this is over a month old, but I too am having a hard time getting rid of this FAKE account(hopefully, you were able to resolve your case by now). I was just checking the site out for the first time today and thought I may join if I liked it. I NEVER signed up with Spotify prior to that, yet when I went to do so, there was already an existing account linked with MY email address/personal information(including my birthday)! Because I couldn't create an account using my email address, the only option I had was to with hit the: "forgot password" button and reset it. Where are the confirmation emails??? Grrrr...If these are truly their practices(I should've received some sort of confirmation email when the account was set up!), then I don't think I want an account here.

All I know is I want to DELETE the account NOW!
