How to reset your password if you no longer have access to the email address?

I wanted to log in to Spotify on my phone as well as my computer, but I couldn't remember the password. I am unable to make use of the password reset feature as the email address on the account is an old address that is no longer active. I can't change the email address without putting in the password which I don't remember and I can't change the password without accessing the email which I can't do. Is there a solution?! I didn't want to just start a new account and lose 6 years worth of playlists! Thanks in advance.

Hi! I think the only solution is to actually create a new account. However, you can contact Spotify to transfer your playlists to this new account so you won't lose any data.
