Dear Community,
I just subscribed to a family membership. I already added two family members who previously have had their playlists stored under my main account (e.g. "Playlist daughter"). I would now like to transfer these lists to their new created sub accounts. How can I do this? I'm not able to find my family members using the search bar.
Is there an option to "copy/transfer playlist to family member xy"?
Thanks for your help!
Kind regards
Thore

Hi @Tojo375, welcome to the Spotify Community!
Just follow these steps:
- Using your computer, open the Spotify app to log in your kids' account.
- Create a new empty playlist.
- Type your username in the search tab.
- If you don't know what's your username, just click here.
- Once you find it, select and copy all songs in it.
- Paste them into the new playlist.
- Enjoy 🙂
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi!
Thanks for your kind reply. Unfortunately this isn't working.
Although the actual playlist is marked public ("veröffentlichen"), it won't appear
when I search for my own playlists under my kids login. From my kids account though I am able to find my own profile.
What am I doing wrong?
If the playlist is public, just click on Public Playlists on your profile (logged in your kid's account), and you should see all your public ones, including the one you're looking for.
You can also do it in another way:
Logged in your account, go to the playlist you want to copy, click on the three dotted icon just besides PLAY and copy playlist link.
Then you log out and log in your kid's account. Paste the link on the search bar. Select/copy/paste the songs to the new playlist 🙂
You're welcome!

I can copy the playlist no problem. My Wife can't add songs to her playlist.
Hey @johnsonmcclay, what happens when your wife tries to add songs to her playlist?
In this case I suggest her to:
1 - make sure she's logged in her own account
2 - access the desired playlist in your profile (created by her, under your username, correct?)
3 - select all songs (CTRL+A)
4 - copy
5 - go to her profile and create a new, empty playlist
6 - paste
7 - enjoy 🙂
I have the same problem. On top I don't want to download the songs just the playlist and I'd like to be able to add songs to it. Is there no way moving the playlist from one account to another?
Hi @cameleon32,
You can copy the playlist's link and then paste it into a new, empty playlist when logged in the desired account.
Does it help you?
@cameleon32, after you paste the playlist link, select all songs and then copy them. Then you'll paste into a new empty playist.
You'll then have the exact same playlist in the account you want.
Hey @cameleon32,
If you're logged in the correct account, just paste the playlist link in the search tab, press enter and you'll see it.
Then select all songs (CTRL + A) and copy.
Then paste to a new, empty playlist.
Great, @cameleon32!
