I need to change my email but it says already used. When it's not! Have contacted already!

Hi, I have changed my email address to a @facebook.com address (because I was connected to facebook through Spotify and it made sense at the time). Which I did not want to do so. Nor do I wish to have my Spotify account associated with Facebook any longer. I have disconnected it (because I have a pre-facebook login – I signed up before the Facebook logins were introduced!). Are you able to free up my previous email address which is an @gmail.com for use on my Spotify account? As at the present time it says it is associated with another account, but I think the system is getting confused with the same account!

 

I have sent a form on the About us page already!

Elseylukejames - I've just read your case. If you try changing that email address again now, you should be sorted.

If you have a case number then a member of the team should get back to you soon. Response times are normally within 48 hours.

OK thank you. It's just that I saw many posts where a credited Spotify member had looked into the case after requesting the case number in the community forums.

When I login to Spotify account details and try to change my e-mail preferences (to not receive any), it says the e-mail address is already used.  I have switched between Premium and lower versions, but have always used the same e-mail address.  How do I fix this?

Hi salkum - What's happened here is you've made some extra accounts via your Facebook. 

 

Please try editing your email notication settings again--should work just fine this time.
