I've cancelled subscription, but am still being charged

Hi,

I cancelled my subscription a while ago since I'm no longer listening to Spotify offline. Today I realised I'm still being charged each month, though. I logged on to Spotify and my Subscription page says "You're currently Spotify Free." And there's no button for me to cancel, so on my account it looks like I've successfully unsubscribed. But I was last charged August 24th. I cancelled months ago.

 

I'm hoping to get some help cancelling my subscription so that I'm not charged this month. And I would also like to have the payments from after I cancelled refunded. I'm afraid I can't remember exactly when I cancelled, but I'm certain someone with access to Spotify's account servers can find that out for me.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

Did you get a confirmation email for your cancellation? If you didn't, then it means you didn't quite complete the cancellation process. You can confirm this by checking your subscriptions page to see if it says you're on premium or free. Not to worry! Click the cancel button again and make sure you go through all the steps to cancel and then get a confirmation email to say you have successfully cancelled.

 

If you did, that probably means you've got a second account that you subscribed to. Did you create a different account with facebook for example? Try logging in with an email instead and check your susbcriptions page from there.

 

If you would like a refund for the payment you made, you can submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify can take a look to see what they can do.
Once you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Thank you, I did indeed have two accounts--one being the Facebook login. I had no idea! There's no difference between them and they're registered to the same email address, so I've never noticed.

 

Thanks also for the link to the contact page. I followed the link "Contact Spotify" at the bottom of the website and got here: https://support.spotify.com/no/article/how-can-i-contact-spotify/?in_footer

I couldn't find any contact form or email address for Spotify. That's why I postet such a question to the community. Luckily I found good help. Thanks again. 🙂

I'm still being charged.  I have an account with my facebook account, but can't seem to find if I have another account with just my email.  This spotify is kind of sneaky to think you could have 2 accounts and not know.  Any ideas how I can find another one?  Isn't there a 800 number to call and speak to a person?
