Today, I want to discuss an idea that could significantly enhance our experience on Spotify: the ability to reset our Taste Profile.

Understanding the Current System

Spotify's current system personalizes our music discovery experience based on our Taste Profile. This profile is an interpretation of our listening habits, influencing recommendations in Discover Weekly, our Home page, and other personalized experiences like Wrapped and Blend. While the option to exclude certain playlists from influencing this profile exists, a complete reset option is not currently available.

The Need for a Reset Option

Sometimes, our musical tastes evolve or undergo significant changes. Perhaps we've gone through a life event that shifts our music preferences, or we've explored a new genre extensively and want to reset our profile to reflect these new interests. In such scenarios, the ability to reset our Taste Profile would be invaluable. It would provide a fresh start, free from the influence of our past listening habits.

Suggested Implementation

1. Reset Feature: Introduce a 'Reset Taste Profile' option under account settings.
