Is Unlimited high quality or is only Premium high quality?

Is Unlimited high quality or is only Premium high quality? I would love to get Unlimited service but only if it is High Quality. I don't need to be able to download or use mobile devices and 10.00 a month is not worth it to me. 5.00 a month is acceptable for no commercials and high quality streaming. I *believe* I read that high quality is only on Premium. Can anyone confirm this before I subscribe.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately; only premium supports High Quality streaming. Premium also supports offline syncing of playlists.

High bitrate streaming is Premium only.

But you don't need that. Standard streaming is already 160 kbit/s using the Vorbis codec. I have Premium and there is no audible difference between standard bitrate and high bitrate, because standard bitrate is already excellent.

Depends what you are listening on I guess, personally you can really hear the difference on my Creative T40's (and they aren't even that expensive!). The lower quality does tend to lack bass sometimes.

Sony Music Unlimited has their 320kbps AAC highest quality streaming available on the $5.00 per month PC only plan.  Time to switch?
