Is it safe to login to third party apps/websites that show you your listening stats?

I've always wanted to see my listening stats and I'm aware that there are many websites and apps which show them. BUT, I've wondered if it is safe to login to use these sites/apps. Does it put account information at risk?

Anecdotal Evidence:

I have been tracking my listening stats through LastFm since 2008. It's an excellent service with very in-depth statistics. I have never had an issue and I would highly recommend it.
