When I check to see my profile name, the link shows as https://open.spotify.com/user/[my_username] and I wanted to know if there is a way to change that, since I wanted to share my playlists with people but don't want them to see my username (which is different from display name).
I've seen some friends' profiles and they have some numbers in their link, so I was wondering how they got that.

Hey @22telo,
Thanks for posting here.
Currently there is no option to remove the username from the link to the profile.
You can check out this idea as it seems similar to your suggestion. You can also add your +Vote and Subscribe to it so you can stay up-to-date with any news about it.
Regarding the numbers in a profile link-they are part of the username. If an account is created thorough Facebook and then is disconnect from Facebook, the username will be then shown. It consists of numbers and letters. You can check this article for more information on the matter.
Hope this sheds some light on the matter. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

My Question or Issue
Hi guys, I know the display name is the one shown but it doesn't specify if there's any way for people to find my username through song links or ANYTHING. I want to share playlists with public wider internet but have a very unique surname name, literally one of a kind in the world unfortunately, (display name) and don't want any chance of being identified.
Hey @belzinna,
Thanks for reaching out 🙂
The username is only visible in the profile link, so sharing songs or playlists won't cause any issues for you.
Hope this clears things up. We're here for you if there's anything else.
