Keep getting same error message, cant play any songs

Keep getting same error message, cant play any songs

There is a problem with the connection with spotify. Please try again shortly (802)

Every time I go to play a song I get the same error, spotify was working fine last night, woke up this morning and all I get is this error. 
I have tried everything, closing, re-opening, loggin-out, loggin-in.

The web player doesnt seem to be working either 

What else is there left for me to do? 

Edit: Here is some info, I am using a Mac, my ISP is Virgin Media.

802 here too. UK, Ubuntu 12.04, Premium.

This HAS to be a server problem as I have seen users reporting this that use all sorts of platforms & ISPs

I have not been able to see a proper explanation for this in the past from Spotify employees - come on chaps - please tell us exactly what 802 means and who is at fault!

Same here. They must be having server issues. Happens once in a while.

 

Wait for a bit and it should sort itself out.

 

Just out of curiosity - where are you based? Wondering if it's a global or localized problem. I'm in London, UK.

I am in the South East too in Brighton 

Getting code 802 as well. I have premium, in Spain, and using Mac OS X 10.6.8

Me too! Mine says reached 10 hour monthly limit but I have been away for 4 weeks and have only played 1 hour - didn't even know there was a 10 hour monthly limit but even so I haven't reached it. Pity not possible to contact Spotify to ask what is going on with my account.

Ok back on now - just retrying a track until it played.

That was about a 20min outage.

 

Of course offline tracks played throughout, and the What's new page showed as normal.

It's back for me as well. That was quick (as originally predicted) 🙂

Thanks Peter for the info. Maybe in the Spotify app a bit more info can be given on the enigmatic error 802!

That Spotify Twitter feed is really useful - I'll check it in future if I have problems.

 

Doesn't affect my loyalty to Spotify!
