Link Errors, Dedicated Spotify Account to Facebook...

I'll try to keep this simple. I am facing several issues when trying to link my spotify account to facebook.

1. there is no response when I try to link my spotify to facebook with the desktop app. The application registers my clicking on the several links in it but nothing happens. The only response I get is on the first click after opening the app. On the first click I get a processing wheel for a few seconds and then nothing.

2. When trying to link to facebook manually from the web browser account page. It will take me to facebook and ask for permissions to account info and such, but once I accept it shows the account ID as a long string of numbers as if i just made a new account through facebook instead of having linked an existing account with my existing user ID...

All I want is to link to facebook in order to see what my friends are listening to. Any help would be appreciated.

It does sound like you accidentally made a new account through Facebook instead of linking it to your existing account. No worries though. Just follow the steps listed here to close the account.

After that, follow the exact steps listed here using an incognito window to link your account to Facebook.
