I have been unable to log into my Spotify account for the last 2 weeks. I'm able to log onto the website and into my account but it won't allow me to open the app.

EVERY TIME I try to log in it says "update password" then sends me a crazy numeric password that doesn't work. 

OBVIOUSLY I'm not the only one with this issue. You'd figure something would be done to resolve this issue. 

I spent hours setting up play lists and saving favourites. 

I DO NOT want to reinstall. 

Can someone help.

I understand not wanting to reinstall the app, but this is the first step to take for a troubleshooting. Let's try following these steps, and make sure you're downloading the latest official version here.

 

If this doesn't do the trick, make sure you're deleting any records of the old Spotify app by plugging your phone to a desktop/laptop via USB, and deleting any Spotify folders.
