Looking to connect my Spotify account to a different Facebook account..... HELP.

I'm a huge Spotify fan..... but for the past day I have been having issues trying to connect my Spotify account to my NEW different Facebook account. I was one of the lucky few who was able to partake in Spotify's amazingness before they merged with Facebook. At that time I had a different Facebook account, until yesterday, when I decided to delete/deactivate that account and start an alternative page just for my family communication. With all that being said, I want to keep my current Spotify account (with all my playlists to boot). But everytime I log in with my username (Kymboslice) my old Facebook page is reactivated. I tried inputting all my new info but nothing happens. So what am I doing wrong? Ultimately I'm angry at Facebook that I can't just DELETED my old page/account. I mean, seriously? I should have the right to get rid of it. But alas, I didn't make the rules. So I just need help connecting my Spotify account to my NEW Facebook account...... HELP! 🙂  Thanks in advance!

Hei, i tried to log in to the desktop application using my username and password and then whent to edit - prefrences - sosial network - disconnect to facebook to log out the person who was logged in and then i tried to log in myself ( this was yesterday) but it stills show as the other person is logged in. Dont know what to do now. It even showes her name in the upper right corner and her facebook picture. I also tried to delete spotify from my computer and phone but still didnt work. Hope you can help.

Your account is not showing as connect to any Facebook for me, my guess is you are still seeing data which has been temporarily cached somewhere. 😉

Okei, so you just recomend that I wait and see a cupple of days then? What should I do if the problem does not goes away?

my brother and i are sharing our dads account. its my brothers facebook that is diplayed on spotify. I already know how to change to a different facebook accout. but when i try to change to my facebook im redirected to this site https://login.spotify.com/status/success?#access_token=CAAAAKLSe4lIBAKB92WbRZCUG3oYI4OcZCccZBvZB9ZC1...

Its all white and just says "ok". when i exit it i cant login to facebook from spotify again. WHAT DID HE DO??

I tried your what you advised and it will not let me edit the account info. All I want to do is use a different facebook account for authentication and NOT lose my playlists. My goal is to deactivate my current facebook account. I already have the other facebook account. This is not working.

Im having the same issue. Im trying to deactivate my facebook account, everytime i click "edit profile", it brings me to my settings on facebook where everything is right, but wrong on Spotify. I already have my real Spotify account, and im trying to contact them and look up the FAQs for answers, but it just loops me back to the beginning like an endless circle. I've sent them three emails already, and it just sends me an auto reply saying "PLEASE CHECK OUR FAQ OR COMMUNITY BOARD" (And on that topic, I'm either dumb or just can't see it, but i can even see how to post a topic on the community board 😞  

Nothing is clear or makes sense and im so fustrated and don't know what to do anymore.

I have a new Facebook and cannot log into my old one or old Spotify account. If I have to sign up for a new one, do I need to pay again?
