My Country is incorrect when logging in via Facebook

My Facebook account is from Ireland and I log in to Spotify using it.

In work, our network proxies through Northern Ireland (seen as the UK).

I use the desktop version of Spotify and after 14 days, it tells me that I can't listen to my music anymore.

I'd prefer not to change my Facebook location to the UK.

Is there a way to get around this?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately not. Unless you get a premium subscription, the country of your IP must match that of your facebook setting since you've got a facebook Spotify account.

If you can't change your office proxy, you could create a new Spotify account (username not facebook) and set your country to the UK. If you opt for this route, let me know.

That brings me to my next problem...

When I try to create a new account with one of my other email addresses, it tells me "Spotify is not available in your country".

Like I said before, the proxy is going through Northern Ireland.
