No Entry Sign When Logging In

Hi there

I have Spotify on Windows 7 which worked well until recently. The current problem however is that on the login screen I enter my details and the screen greys out and when I hover over the password box there's a small "no entry" type sign (red circle with red line through middle) and it doesn't go anywhere. I don't get any error code, it just stays on the login screen.

Any ideas what the issue is?
