Notification on terminated Paypal legitimation

Hi, I've received a notification from Spotify, that the legitimation for Paypal has been terminated. It doesn't say by whom or why. Also found several topics by other German users. Can someone confirm, if this is an official Spotify message?

Thanks for reaching out. Our tech folks have been making some changes to the payment system backstage and this prompted these notifications. Please double check your receipts page and your payments on PayPal. If you see nothing out of the ordinary, you're welcome to disregard the email. The status of your subscription will remain unchanged.

 

Hope this clears things up.

I need to correct myself. 

The notification mail was from PayPal.

Meanwhile I contacted their Support. They confirmed, the mail is from them and that the payment  withdrawal  has been canceled by Spotify. 

But my account looks normal and I have not received any notification from Spotify on this.

 

I found  other users on Google with the same issue
