I have messaged them about this as well. Haven't gotten a response. Not worth the money if they can't offer basic functionality. Also going to cancel before my free trial is up if they haven't at least responded.
I'm ready to cancel my Premium service too. I've tweeted directly to them about this annoyance to prompt any sort of reply...nothing.
I have about 900 songs in a folder that I'd like to be available Offline, and this problem happens roughly twice a month. If my company didn't have blazing fast wireless I'd be really pissed. Luckily it only takes a good portion of the work day to get back to normal.
PLEASE SPOTIFY, OFFER SOME SORT OF REASONING FOR THIS. If there is no solution yet, that's somewhat acceptable if you can tell us what we are doing wrong, and a fix is in progress!
So, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I have had the same issue losing all downloaded songs for the past month or so. Seems to have happened with the updates to Spotify (not with a new SD card). Now I'm aout another $15 because I went over on my data because I wasn't aware that Spotify had undownloaded all my songs. If we set Spotify settings to over wifi only, then it should respect that. How does a program that is set to wifi only use so much data? It's the biggest data hog on my device! Searching the discussion threads, it appears that people have been having these issues since back in 2012. Come on Spotify, get your act together! Making people uninstall & reinstall and buy new SD cards and try this and try that is just bad business! Fix the problem with the update so we don't keep losing our downloaded music! You're going to lose customers the way things are going! We're mostly not all tech support specialists & simply want to listen to our music while we go running without having to double & triple check settings and make sure everything is still downloaded because it was yesterday and miss something and next thing we know, we're out of data & our phone bill comes out double! So not cost effective!
Every people around me using spotify on android device frequentely loose their synced track... Look like they disappear with every update of the app but not 100% sure.
My wife is travelling a lot in train and she is seriously bored with loosing all here synced music... Result is she can't use the service she paid for !
Last week-end we went on a trip in mountain, no wifi no 3G/4G and just after leaving home, impossible for me to listen to music in the car because my synced music diseappeared... Same happened to my brother who had synced lot of playlist for a party in the countryside...
