I just posted on a different thread about this (how many different threads to the mods point you to?) Not had this for a couple of months, and still pursuing a refund of some kind for not being able to use the service I pay for, and they basically blank every email starting with the same old crap about clearing all devices again. updated my iPhone the other day and surprise, it just cleared my offline playlists again!!!

Just cancled my spotify subscription. My problem is on an Android device and I have tried deleting the app, reinstalling, offline mode, online mode. Nothing works and nothing is being done about this problem.

This is ridiculous! A solution to music piracy and a access to millions of songs, you're sitting on gold mine! Why are your deveopers so incompetent? Or is there another reason why you are not addressing this issue? At this point you'd be better off just disabling the 3 devices block if you can't figure it out. Silly. Pathetic.

Hello Rdio. Hope everyone else has enough sense to ditch this terrible service and move on.

*UPDATE GUYS*

This is the last message I got from Rorey (Spotify Community Manager):

"It seems the issue is actually a bug. You're in luck because this should be fixed in the next release which is coming soon."

Note that this is a message from AFTER they placed the Spotify update in the App Store. So there should be another, new update coming to fix this bug.

Unfortunately you've fallen for Rory's bull.

I've had this response on the old get satisfaction site, and via email from spotify.

They've done 2 iOS updates since.

Complete bull****

That's the third or fourth time I've seen the 'bug problem' posted.  They are just dangling a carrot to try to stop people canceling.  I cancelled mine a month ago and keep coming back here to see if they're are any fixes because if it is fixed I'll subscribe again.

It seems obvious they don't know what the problem is and are grasping at straws to try to fix it.  The customer support is terrible with little to no info given to customers experiencing this problem.

Can we please have a definitive answer from someone at Spotify? This service is appalling. I will cancel my subscription if it happens again.

Just a thought: could be get #fixspotify trending on twitter? That might get a response.

Wait a second. you guys got this ´Hey this is a bug, we will fix this in the next update´ feedback before?

OK not cool. I was a bit surprised at the 'This seems like a bug' response, since this is as much of a bug as you could possibly have - but I was happy that there was feedback from Rorey at least.

Regarding the Twitter onslaught, how would we go about this Nathan and other girls/guys? It's useless if 5 of us now start tweeting this. We need everybody on board..

All in !
We could also setup a facebook page on the matter and try to reach out to techcrunch and others..

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, because any acknowledgement from Spotify is better than the alternative, but OBVIOUSLY the issue is a bug. Many of us are receiving the error without even owning 3 devices, let alone more than 3.

I also quit my membership (though it ends officially on May 5).

I found the constant deletion of thousands of songs while I was on the road to be absolutely maddening -- especially in light of stringent AT&T bandwidth caps. I paid for Spotify because I don't want to have to stream while I'm on the road.

Sure, I can redownload 2,000 songs every week, but I shouldn't have to when I paid for a premium service.

As a semi early adopter via invite a while back, spotify has gone backwards in ease of use and reliability.

I get this atleast once a week. I take spotify to the gym. I really like the service in general but this is literally going backwards. I don't even have 3 devices. Please fix asap. This is a known issue. And has existed for over 90 days now. Please provide estimated time for completion.

Hi Meredith,

Could you please help me reset my account as well? I have had the same problem for a few weeks now. Just appeared out of the blue. I'll be forced to cancel my subrscription if it can't be fixed. =(

Thank you!

Resetting accounts does not work.  Nothing works, this is a terminal problem that needs a proper update from Spotify to fix it.  They can try to give us hope and dangle carrots with bug and device reset promises in order to keep people subscribing.

The only way they will pull their finger out and fix this is if they start to lose revenue.  This is a terminal problem on IOS devices, the reason for paying for premium is offline playlists and they are broken.

Customers need to create a mass exodous from the service and they might do something about it, unitl then they will continue to happily take your money (I've cancelled my  sub due to this problem) and continue to give you false promises.

Please fix this 3 device bug. This is taking way, WAY too long. We're paying for off-line syncing and it doesn't work.

Money back?

I know it probably won't work, but can you remove all the devices linked to my account?

+1 to getting this fixed ASAP.

I'm getting this message for the first time on my mobile, but have only just added spotify to my Desktop machine at work. So which are my 'Devices'? I have Spotify installed on: Home PC, Work PC, Personal Mobile, Work Mobile, Personal Laptop.

I though it should just be a limit of three mobiles?

Managing my devices myself from my profile would be ideal.

Also, if a desktop/laptop is considered a device, why do different playlists show up on each? I'd like to edit them in one place, and that be reflected everywhere - which is what I thought should happen.

*confused*

Spotify: no offline sync - sucks, no iPad App - sucks

Napster: no iPad app - sucks, but less than Spotify

...I made my choice, sorry guys.

I also have the same problem!! I can get sings to sync, to my device just after some app downtime and coming back in, the app complains of my account being connected of too many devices- VERY FRUSTRATING as its only connected to my Mac and iPhone.... If there is a solution let me know!!!

I'm sure there's quite a few people who are reading this thread and are not sure if they should cancel their subscription. I urge them all to cancel. This problem has been on going since July last year and there's no sign of it ending. I want my money back. They don't deserve any more of your money. Bad service and bad customer service.
