Pay as you go, but it is recurring?

Solved!

Pay as you go, but it is recurring?

I just bought my first month of Spotify Premium pay as you go, and the emailed reciept I received stated that it will be a recurring payment.

Do I have to manually cancel the service at the end of the month if I don't want a recurring charge?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Yup, spotify is a recurring charge. So yes, if you want to avoid being charged for the next month of premium, you will need to cancel your subscription before the months end. Bear in mind that even if you cancel it in the middle of the month, your subscription will still go on for what you paid for (i.e. a month from payment) so if you only want a month of payment you can subscribe and cancel immediately.

However, an easier way to do that would be to purchase a Spotify ecard and apply it to your account so you don't have to put payment details in.

I see an option to remove the payment information, is that the same as cancelling? Thanks.
