Premium subscriber in Australia, but no lossless media option. Why not?

Any advice welcome. Just subscribed in order to get lossless music. So far, disappointed.

We regularly experiment with new features to help improve your listening experience, but during these tests, not everyone sees the same thing at the same time. We appreciate your interest - we're hoping to roll out lossless more broadly soon, so stay tuned. More info on the feature can also be found on our Newsroom here.

I am on family premium on app 9.0.78 and also don't have the lossless option to turn on like the article says I should have. I am have a Samsung s25 ultra 

It's been 6 days since lossless "has arrived" and I still don't have access here in the US. They said lossless was "coming soon" over 4 years ago, I don't have much confidence people will start getting lossless anytime soon, I'd be surprised if it happens this year

Same story on Android/windows for me. 

 

People on my family plan received it. one of the samsung s25u got it. my account didn't. 

 

i was really looking forward to listening to lossless on the wide library. i still have my local foobar flac files with fiio q1m2 dac and hd599 combo. 

 

The lack of information on how the rollout is being pushed is rather frustrating. 

  • is it when the account was created?
  • type of device connected?
  • size of library
  • listening hours? 
    • tbh people looking forward to lossless probably already has local flac files. so this is likely to be low.

Appreciate your response, but for me it’s clear cut: no lossless means I’ll
be cancelling. I’ve got 2 months at a reduced rate, which I’ll keep but if
this feature doesn’t appear by then ….

It seems that as I had deactivated my account due to no HD in Spotify, I am
punished with no early release. I got 2 months at half price for coming
back, so if by the end of that there’s still no HD music, it’s bye bye
again.

Follow up. Since the last post Lossless has been turned on in my account. It does feel a little random, but am now evaluating this.

Same as most of you just reactivate my premium to test out the lossless as I did like spotify's code when it comes with recommending music closer to my taste to Tidal that ive been using since cancelling spotify premium. Now reactivated and still no lossless. No idea how you roll out feature account to account basis instead just releasing it to everyone at the same time?

I’ve been a premium subscriber for years in Australia but still no lossless on my account … somewhat frustrated!
